GAY PRIDE SHRIMP
I have become absolutely fascinated with these little guys.
Everything lately is making me want to write fiction again. Science-fiction or something along the lines of modern fantasy. I still feel inadequate though. My narrative writing sucks, but I know that can be improved with hard work and practice. What I am less sure about is my...hmm...narrative intelligence?
Basically, I can't follow a complex plot (or even a mildly interesting one) to save my life. One of the reasons I like the new My Little Pony show is because it makes me feel clever because sometimes I can see plot twists coming. I had to watch A Tale of Two Sisters three or four times before I could really understand what was happening, let alone start thinking about the implications (and let's leave alone the fact that I saw the American remake first and thus already knew the twist and...was still surprised anyway). I enjoy Stephen King books that most people hate, like The Tommyknockers, mostly because the lack of discernible plot isn't something I notice; I can't tell the difference between that and something with a complex plot because they are equally confusing to me.
This doesn't really bother me; obviously I still enjoy reading, watching movies, etc. Usually I fall in love with a character or concept first, and then the plot on many subsequent viewings/readings. And each time I watch a movie is a new experience! Buuuut I'm not confident in my ability to write something with a plot. I know my creative strengths are in world-building and, to a lesser degree, character-building.
Maybe I'll just throw my ideas at
anobjectinspace and make him write things. Hmmm. *strokes chin* 6 u 9
Speaking of which, going to go read more of his excellent writing. Oh, but here's a song first. A REALLY SAD SONG. It literally almost made me cry, which is difficult to do.
oAo!!

Tell me your ideas. If I did write something for you it couldn't be for a while as I'm waaay focused on Earthbound atm but I love hearing about people's ideas, and bouncing them off each other is always v helpful, and YOU SHOULD TRY WRITING IT ANYWAY.
That shrimp is WIN.
That song is incredibly sad omg. WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO ME?
Actually reminds me of Dog Island... you know it flooded a few weeks ago? Totally underwater I believe. People were in there saving the dogs but fuck, thousands of them lived in that place. I haven't looked into it properly because tbh I just don't want to know.

Oh don't worry I will tell you ALL OF MY IDEAS. You encourage me as if you think I could ever shut up about my thoughts P:
I NEEDED TO SHARE MY MISERY. Um. Here is a happier song by the same guy. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=fBFFlL58UTM) I have decided my favorite Scandanavian country is Norway because he is from there. SINGING, VIOLIN AND WAISTCOATS ARE ALL THE BEST THINGS
I don't think I've ever even heard of Dog Island :c now I don't think I'll look it up. I will just go to bed because omg it's 6:30 AM
