so, things that are really really great for my social anxiety: having to go interrupt an RA meeting and getting stared at all of them like I just walked in and started babbling gibberish
It isn't all that fucking complicated, THE GIRL WITH VISION PROBLEMS DOWN THE HALL FROM ME LOCKED HERSELF OUT AND ASKED ME TO HELP HER FIND AN RA
BECAUSE YOU ALL DISAPPEARED FOR YOUR STAFF MEETING AND SHE HAD NO WAY OF FINDING YOU
Also, my Research Methods class makes me want to scratch my brain out, but that's nothing less than I expected. Nice reminder that most of the psych professors at this school know literally nothing, though. I especially like how she keeps demanding we go around the room and all tell her what our topic for our paper will be, then doesn't know half the things people mention, and ridicules them for it. Like driving/car anxiety. Can you not figure out what that is from the term? 'Sounds like a kind of agoraphobia maybe, lol.' Oh lord
Luckily I have Money & Banking literally right after that and it is like a soothing balm for my soul
Also, 'cross-cultural psych' prof, it's really disingenuous to talk about white Americans studying child malnutrition in refugee camps and say 'well, yeah, if they have the resources, they had better help the kids after the study is over!' as if there's not a long history of them doing EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF THAT.
Also, fixed the internet problems my computer was having! All on my own! By which I mean I got tech help on my own, not...I figured it out on my own. But yeah I used justanswer.com, which was nerve-wracking, but the tech was really nice and we figured it out really quickly even with the difficulties imposed by using Windows 7 which assumes you are so stupid that it has to hide things like advanced power options from you, lest you blindly click and somehow reformat your hard-drive by accident or something. But my internet is no longer randomly turning off for hours at a time! I FIXED IT
I highly recommend justanswer.com if anybody else is having computer problems BTW, it's really reasonably priced, you get immediate help, you only have to pay if they help you fix the problem, and they know wtf they're talking about, or at least the guy I talked to did. And you give information at the start so they match you with someone who knows your system. They do other kinds of questions too, like cars and stuff? And...homework help...IDK it's really neat.
