Making gingerbread cookies tonight! Or rather, I already made the dough. It's refridgerating chilling now. I'm going to bake and decorate them tonight.

Kind of wish I could bake now, decorate tonight (after we do eggs?) but last Easter decorating-cookies-as-a-family-activity didn't go down that well, and I think TBH if I bake them now not many will make it to decorating time because Derek's around. SO.

Also, I seem to be sick???? IDEK. Most likely allergies running up against my asthma. I was laughing earlier and it sounded like I was dying. Erp.

There was a point to this post...

The following companies support Autism Speaks. Because I'm always a fan of knowing where your money goes, although I'm not going to tell anybody to boycott anything. God knows I'm in no position to boycott anything.

Toys“R”Us/ Babies“R”Us
T.J. Maxx/T.K Maxx in the UK
General Motors/Chevrolet
Ask.com
Bachman Company
Bath & Body Works
Build-A-Bear Workshop
Charlotte Motor Speedway
Dollar General
Dover International Speedway
Fox Sports
The Home Depot
Landscape Structures
Lindt & Sprüngli
Modell’s Sporting Goods
Stadium NEST Fragrances
Pump It Up
Scentsy
White Castle
Zales

If you have no idea what Autism Speaks is or why you might not want your money supporting them - I think most of you will start to see the problem if I just point out that they call themselves 'Autism Speaks' and there's not a single autistic person in any policy-making position in their organization. And they have a tendency to verbally and legally bully any autistic person who speaks up about disagreeing with them. Almost all of their money goes either to people running AS or to research for a 'cure' for autism; very little goes to actually supporting autistic people, but considering their idea of support is primarily 'awareness' campaigns that do a lot to perpetuate negative stereotypes and myths about autistic people, I think that might actually be for the best.

Basically they run on the message 'autistic children are an incredibly sad burden to their families, give us money so we can make them go away'.

Some further reading (there's better stuff out there, I'll put up a different link if I find the one I'm thinking of)

Sorry for the lack of substance lately guys. Been rather off. I'll do a baking post with photos of the cookies, ok? c:

BONUS: I took the FM 100 Hue Test aaaand got a 14! (Lower scores = better color acuity). PARTAY I already knew I have pretty good color vision though.
