dakfire has been bringing her knitting to school (yes, she's knitting now!). Last week she was knitting during downtime in class and was approached by a guy...the following conversation ensued:
Him: Oh yeah! I heard that you're gay.
Her: ...what?
Him: Well, you know, you're knitting...
Her: ???
We are both still incredibly confused.
SINCE WHEN IS KNITTING CONNECTED TO LESBIANS?!
(I mean, if she's still working on the project that she was last I checked, then she's knitting a scarf for a girl that she likes, but he wouldn't have known that...???)

Date: 2013-03-11 02:34 am (UTC)I'm now amazed by the fact that apparently high schoolers are afraid to confront her about her sexuality (I would assume they've actually grown a sense of tact since I was there, but apparently they are gossiping about it, so...) but she regularly gets 'hey, I heard you were a witch!'
Lesbians are, I think, much less likely to turn you into a toad for being rude to them, so IDK why they feel bolder about the witch thing...
