Went to the mall! Bought some shoes! It's amazing how much more I like shopping for myself now that Mom's given up trying to control what I wear. Also, interestingly, this morning (when I still thought we weren't going out til Friday) I did a red light/green light/yellow light spread for the day and had trouble making sense of it until I realized we must be going to the mall today, lol. It told me not to be afraid to spend my own money, and to beware of my mom. Story of my life shopping with her omfg

Anyways with this in mind I just kept relaxed but confident about buying shoes that I liked, started in the women's section but was prepared to go to the men's if I couldn't find anything I liked, although I knew mom would fight me on that. But I was able to find three pair that I really, really like :D because I am a crossdressing queerbutt and all. Even found some nice leather dress shoes that mom says she also likes, so hopefully she will not hide these like my last pair to force me to wear those godawful platform heels.

One of my new pairs of shoes is shiny. These shiny sort of platinum sneakers. I swear they look good, LOL. I took pictures but can't find the USB for my camera right now so y'all can wait for those.

Speaking of my camera...remember my previous post about falling asleep in mom and dad's bed earlier today? Well, the reason I went in there in the first place was to take a few pics of Tripper because he was doing something adorable (you will get those later as well). I only took a few, then turned it off, because my camera's battery was drained; I was a bit surprised, but figured mom or dad must have snagged my camera to take more pictures of the disaster that was our street during the power outage. I left it on mom's dresser while I slept, and only just went in to retrieve it and see if I could get some pictures of my shoes out of it.

When I turned it on, it showed itself as fully charged.

Now, it does this thing occasionally where if it was very low on battery, it'll think it's fully-charged when you first turn it on; but once you try to take a picture, it'll correct itself. I took something like ten pictures...it continued to insist it was fully charged.

It is possible that turning it off and back on made it calculate its battery charge in a slightly different way...IDK, I've had this happen with other rechargable batteries before, like in my DS; it's in the red, I turn it off and on again, it's in the green for another ten minutes. But never have I seen something go from 'battery low' to 'battery full' from being turned off and on; and it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for it to be full because I haven't charged it since three days before we left China, and have used it quite a bit since then.
