JESUS DID SO RIDE A DINO

I baked Easter cookies!
...Some of them are dinosaurs. A few are alligators and snails.
First of all, recipes - I used this gingerbread cookie recipe, with the same modification I made at Christmas - replaced the 1/4 teaspoon black pepper with 1/2 teaspoon ground mace. That's just my personal taste. I also made sure to roll them super thin this time, because I found I prefer them crispy.
Here they are, pre-decorating!

I made lots of these little bunnies. Tiny gingerbread cookies are my favorite.

Snails, bunny faces, gators, and stegosauri. And a spare tiny bunny.

Lots of ducklings (chicks? ambiguous cute baby birds), some round cookies I pretended were eggs, a T-Rex, a spare bunny face and two more of those tiny bunnies.
The icing recipe I used was my usual, although I actually used almond extract like it calls for for once. In the past I've used vanilla, and at Christmas I tried rum flavoring, but this time almond was the first one I spotted so I went with it. Let me say, GO WITH THE ALMOND. Especially if you're decorating gingerbread cookies. The rum is good for it as well, but of everything I've tried thus far, I most prefer almond.

I just painted most of the little bunnies. I mean, they're tiny.

Yes, my hand is still a bit sore from all this. (Dad was going to do some but he abandoned me to sleep.) So y'all get some close-ups of my hard work.
