Queer Issues Blog?
May. 30th, 2011 02:53 pmJust when I thought I had run out of srs bsns things to write about, I suddenly want to write on three different topics (for my own reference later: polysexuality; the term 'politically correct'; sex/gender/gender expression & the binary).
I think this is a sign that it is a good time to create a second blog for this sort of stuff, like I've been thinking of doing. My plan right now is to use wordpress; I have some experience with it and I think it's the kind of tool I'm looking for for this kind of thing. But if anybody has other suggestions I would love to hear them.
Right now I am really not sure that I have all that much to offer as far as blogging on queer issues goes. There are a lot of voices out there already and I'm basically just some kid who likes to talk about himself a lot? The only thing I can think of that might make me unique is that I'm also very religiously Christian, but I'm sure there are other queer Christian bloggers out there, I just haven't found them. But basically I figure it can't hurt, and I'm not blogging about these things just because I want to make a difference; I want to talk about them, specifically. I want to give my opinion. So, I figure that's a good enough reason to blog about them.
So I am looking for input on a few things, especially from anybody who think they would be interested in following my new blog-
So yes. This will remain my personal blog+paranormal stuff, because I consider that personal as well :P I did consider at one point making a separate paranormal blog, but then I realized it would basically be a blog about 'why everything is really faeries and fae animals' and I felt like a conspiracy theorist.
Oh, and if anybody is wondering about the recent lack of paranormal posts here: it's a combination of my recovering from breaking things off with Corey and the fact that I'm working again, so I'm actually SLEEPING at night, for the most part. Once I settle into my new schedule you should be seeing more again? If anybody has anything in particular they want me to talk about, let me know. I was thinking of doing a post on Black-Eyed Kids and slavic vampires, since I've been doing some thought and research on it after that discussion in ontd_creepy (if you didn't see that, don't worry, there'll be a link in the post).

- Is wordpress a good choice? Should I use another site? Should I just make a second LJ/use friends groups on this LJ? Let me know your preference~
- Should I repost some of the things I've already posted to this blog, for the sake of having them all collected in one place?
- Blog name suggestions? I have no idea what I would call it!
