Nov. 13th, 2012 11:15 amSo yeah. I just sorted out everything on my own, including...
-emailing my adviser
-sorting out what classes I wanted to take
-getting up early to sign up for said classes
-(going to sleep early to get up early)
-going to see adviser less than 12 hours after emailing her
Some of these things may not seem like a big deal but. FOR ME THEY ARE A BIG DEAL. So I feel pretty good about myself ATM.
And I didn't even panic when I was meeting her (or emailing her!), but it helps that all the econ department staff are really cool so I knew she would be, too. (In the psych department I definitely wouldn't have been cleared before I could meet with her, and I probably would have gotten a lecture on coming to see her BEFORE registration day. I still have three emails in my inbox from the head of the psych department about how I didn't go to any of the drop-in advising sessions. YEAH, BECAUSE I'M NOT A PSYCH MAJOR ANY MORE.)
So my schedule for next semester incluuuudes...Econometrics, Public Economics, Sports Economics, Personal Finance, and either Elementary Chinese II or Elementary Japanese I. I want the second Chinese course but last time I tried to take it, it was cancelled due to not enough people signing up...and I'm not sure if it'll be the same instructor as last time/if it'll be too difficult for me. On the other hand, the Japanese class is right before the class after it, and will probably be full of otaku. So right now I'm signed up for both, and if the Chinese class doesn't get cancelled I'll probably be able to decide within the first week or so.
