So I realized I haven't really talked much about my creepy-ass house here. I guess I was just assuming everybody ever was in [livejournal.com profile] ontdcreepy which, well, you kind of should be because it's the most awesome comm ever, but I digress.

So since I really love to talk about myself and spam y'all with two posts in one day, let's talk about my house and how haunted it is. (BTW this is still nothing compared to [livejournal.com profile] srztanjur's sister's house, but he's been too busy to post about that yet, maybe tonight?) (ETA: HEY GUYS HE POSTED YAAAY)

So we moved into this house like...um...when I was 9 or 10? So uh, oh right, 2001-ish (lol so easy to calculate now that I'm 20 8D) before that we lived in a house down the street that we were just renting, and two years before THAT we lived in a house in Texas where I had other experiences but this post is about THIS house okay. Anyways sooo all the bedrooms are haunted.

So anyways when we first moved in, there were three bedrooms; the master downstairs, and two upstairs. Both upstairs bedrooms had huge walk-in closets with doors to separate crawlspaces. I was in the northern bedroom, over the living room and with a window looking out on the woods. Paige and Derek were in the southern, slightly larger bedroom that's over the family room/some of the garage. So, during that time, things that happened in that bedroom I was in:

-lots of huge shadows that would move over the walls on their own; my friend saw these too the one time I ever had a sleepover (yeah rly)
-I would hear breathing in the closet sometimes when trying to sleep
-THIS IS THE BEST ONE so one time I was home alone and went up to my room to change, and the door was cracked open a tiny bit. And I was naked and the door started to open pretty fast (it got about halfway open) and I was like "HEY" because I forgot nobody was home, and it slammed shut. PERV GHOST.
-another time I was home alone I suddenly heard somebody upstairs shout my mom's name. I was startled and it took me a second to realize the radio in my room had come on REALLY LOUD. Like, I didn't even know it could go up that loud, no way I had it up that loud. I had to go upstairs and turn it off. I still can't figure out why it said my mom's name at the beginning since once I could understand what I was hearing it sounded like a commercial...
-also, I used to sometimes hear somebody calling my name as I was falling asleep in that room. I know this is a common sleep sort of disorder but it only ever happened to me in this room so IDK

Then I moved into the southern bedroom. I had that room to myself for a long time and now it's also Dad's office since he works from home and I'm at school a lot of the time. Things that have happened in that room:

-shadows moving by themselves again
-shit will just randomly fall off of the dresser and bedside table
-I would put something down, turn away for a second, turn back and it's GONE. It turns up months later somewhere weird in the room.
-when we first moved in, me, Paige, Derek, and our neighbor Julie were playing in the closet and all drew our handprints on the wall in there and put our names on them. Every time I go in the closet, the number of handprints in there change. Sometimes it's all four, sometimes it's only one or two of them, sometimes three. Random ones will be missing. I've decided to monitor them more closely lately and they also move up and down on the wall.
-I started getting sleep paralysis in this room. With vivid visual hallucinations, which I guess is unusual? That's what I hear, anyway. I only get the visual hallucinations in that room, although I've had sleep paralysis a few other places. (This is the main raisin I don't sleep in there)
-The closet light turns itself off and on, and the doors open or shut themselves, like all the time. This is what Dad's been seeing that led to him agreeing with me that the room's haunted.

In the meantime, the northern room was renovized renovated into two rooms, so Paige and Derek could have their own rooms, yay! Derek is very closed-lipped on paranormal stuff since the time he and his friend actually saw a fae/faerie in the woods with their naked eyes (no not the kind with wings, and I'm not getting into fae today), so I haven't gotten any reports from him on activity, if there is any. However, Paige's room does have some:

-she has an alcove in her room that dips into the space where the walk-in closet used to be (her room was pretty much added on to the house, I forget the word for it, so it's like, behind the closet, crawlspace+extra space). For a long time she thought Coach (our cat, the one who died last Christmas) was sleeping in that alcove under the desk she has there, because she would hear papers rustling and stuff, the usual amount of noise that fatass clumsy cat would make. Sometimes she would call his name and the rustling would stop, but he would never meow back (he was usually a responsive cat, when he had any wind in him) so she started getting kind of suspicious. Finally one time she moved to look and there was CLEARLY NOTHING THERE but the rustling noise kept up.
-one time she tried using that desk for homework and BOTH cats came into the room to sit next to her feet with their tails lashing, doing the guard-thing. Towards the wall. She didn't try using it again.

Alright, that covers all the upstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom:

-I slept in it one time (ONE time) when we first moved in because Dad was on a business trip and my room was creeping me out. I couldn't sleep because the room made me so nervous, and ended up going back to my own room.
-I occasionally go in there to take naps during the day. I always have incredibly vivid dreams, sometimes ones that wake me screaming (which I've never done anywhere else) and other times ones that were so vivid that when I wake up I spend several minutes legitimately confused between the dream and reality. Often I'll be napping with the dog and when I wake up he's staring at the closet. A few times I've woken and the closet light has been on when it was off when I went to sleep and there's nobody else in the house.

And yeah that's it. I'm not going to get into the woods and stuff because that stuff is kind of...intense? And I know a lot of you would think I'm whackadoodle (if you don't already LOL).

DNW! D: *shudder* And I don't think you're crazy at all. I've read ghost stories that have similar things happen. :D

LOL perv ghost.

OH GOD the fae thievery D: I have that SO BAD. Stuff just disafuckingpears, and when it turns up? It's uh...very /consciously/ placed. Like, just for example, I was doing some type of homeworky thing in my dorm (same dorm I had the demonic sleep paralysis episode, come to think of it) and set the a roll of tape down, needed it again and it was GONE. Tore up my /entire/ room looking for it...it turned up right in the middle of my fucking pillow! Which of course I had checked on, under, etc. And my piercing jewelry is forever being kept up with by helpful fae, thankfully. My labret ball will drop off, unbeknownst to me, and I'll find it in the bed, or in a shoe. Not unusual, since I'm in those places, but I'll have worn the shoe or shook out the bed carefully. One time it was in the exact center of a stepping stone outside in the yard, and I hadn't been outside in days. But I am not complaining, and I always say thank you aloud when this happens. I just wish they wouldn't move shit I /haven't/ lost :p

D:

I kind of wonder if they just pick things up because they're curious about them or something. Or they could just be playing tricks.
