DESCEND INTO THE DARKNESS

potato_headSo basically my mind is still buzzing too much for me to sleep, and the best remedy for that is horror movies + busywork, and the closest busywork at hand that seemed like a bit of fun was getting images of some of the custom Amis I've been designing, to show off :D
Quick um, key: They should all be pictured with the male first, and any after the male would be females. The ones that only have one, I DID design a mate for, but they're just minor variations on shade and I didn't feel like saving a picture for that. Also, some of these I haven't really checked to see if something similar's been done before.
Forest Spirit - this is designed after the nighttime-version of the Forest Spirit in Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke. This is what it looks like, although I think to get a real picture of it you'd have to watch the movie, or a clip from it, to see how the different colors in it interact. I originally intended to have two different species for this, but only the Kiribou really looked so stunning in this design, which is quite a coincidence since the Forest Spirit takes the shape of a kirin during the daytime (you can't see its dragon-feet in that picture, but trust me, it's a kirin).
Fantasy Fires - MAH AMI'S, MAH AMI'S, MAH AMI'S ON FIRE. Uh. The maldra female would be named Smaug, and the pherra female would be named Fawkes. Thus the 'fantasy' bit.
Blue Jays - I planned a pherra female for this set too, but since it's just another shade of blue...
White Ligers - These are the only ones I think I really checked around for anything similar. I found a lot of orange tigers, a few white janc tigers, but no white tazia tigers. I think I might do these guys next.
Charizard/Dragonite - The male is the Charizard, the female is the Dragonite. If you can't tell. They are seriously the same color design, I guess Nintendo thinks dragons only come in one pattern.
Gastly - The female I have planned for him is an orwahl! Seems odd, but orwahls look really handsome in this simple design.
Moltres - This feels almost like just a simpler version of the 'fantasy fires' design, but I might do it anyways. Just because omg Moltres. The female would obviously be another pherra.
Aaaaand I just realized I totally didn't tell you guys about how I hurt my foot. Which is typical because I didn't tell ANYONE. Basically, dad took the railing out of the basement stairs awhile ago, and yesterday I went to lean against it despite KNOWING IT WAS NOT THERE. So I went to prop my butt on it and tumbled backwards off the stairs onto the cement floor of the basement and somehow managed to do this NOISELESSLY and ONLY HURT MY FOOT. And not even badly. I mean there's no swelling or visible bruising or anything, it just feels like I overextended one of my toes.
Since I did this completely silently (unlike usual, where just walking down the stairs makes people think I fell and died because I can't do ANYTHING quietly when I WANT to) nobody noticed, and I didn't know how to bring it up without feeling awkward, so I basically limped around all yesterday until realizing today it was getting kind of ridiculous so I told everybody. My foot is feeling rather better now though. The point of that story is I am clumsy, scatter-brained and generally ridic, but also impervious to cement floors.

I know the customs on Aramii pretty well - at least those well known enough that you would be outwardly seen to be copying them if you did something similar - and I don't see anything in your designs that reminds me of anything so you should be all good there :-)

Date: 2011-03-22 01:49 am (UTC)Well I promised myself I had to finish my projects (mainly Oceans) before I was allowed to do anything else but I'm about to make a markless white teoki (non others on the site at gen 1 but it is SUPER SECRET because someone on there steals my ideas and stalks me and someone else on there stalks me and has stolen other peoples' designs before) and I am in the process of designing a pherra pair. BUT. I do like to sprinkle new stuff in among my Ocean releases so might poke you sometime :-P Of course if I ever did you would get free pups and breedings and you would have credit etc. I appreciate the offer :-)
Sadly for me though, I have more designs that I can keep up with usually. And I'm trying to save up to make an Ocean coatl next token-call I'm eligible for. Of course, I might be lucky and win a competition before then. *crosses fingers*

I think I'm actually going to go make a custom pair like, right now...bad break-up and the best form of therapy is BUYING CUSTOM TOKENS. I haven't decided which yet, but one of my one-marking designs. I'm thinking probably one of the pokemon designs, either the dragonite/charizard or the espeon/umbreon...although I was also thinking I might just do a pair of two umbreons, which should have, in retrospect, been obvious in the first place; and make one shiny. Yes, omfg, that's what I'm doing. RIGHT NOW.

Date: 2011-03-22 03:00 am (UTC)Interestingly - Magic, boo, Irish and Kim (rose) are the older, better known (and friggin' awesome) members there and they have ALL been screwed over by people really badly on Aramii, including the specific one who was just a goddamn psycho and really triggered me badly on a lot of things, trying to manipulate me. She messed me up pretty bad.
Aramii is worth keeping playing though and I just block and avoid and carry on, and grin to myself knowing she probably hate me because I very rarely public-sell my gen 2s, and NEVER will with the Oceans except perhaps a couple of auctions someday, so she can't get hold of any. BWAHAHAHAH. Idiot.
DAMN RIGHT!! I agree. Custom tokens fix everything.
