Ying seems to be sick; I was thinking about this last night, so you guys get a full, proper post. On auras! Well, more like my history with auras and my own personal aura, not very informative stuff here.
So, first of all, I couldn't see auras naturally. Originally, that was one of Corey's abilities, one he'd always had, IIRC. Eventually, though, I started seeing them in flashes; he similarly increased his ability to see faeries around the same time, although we didn't discuss that as much, so I have no idea if it developed the way my ability to see auras did.
We did a lot of tests, and discovered the colors I saw in a particular aura would be inverse (directly across the color wheel) from what he saw, every time. It is my own opinion that I was using him to see them, and the fact that I can now, afaik, only see my own aura, supports that, although it might also be that I haven't put any work into the ability since we split.
My colors are currently: blue with some purple. I am not sure if I still see the colors inversely, since I can't still be using him to see it.
We both learned to manipulate our auras into shapes, around the same time; not that it can do anything particularly useful. Last time I discussed it with him, we had both started keeping them in the shape of wings on our back. For aesthetic reasons, I guess, and maybe pride reasons; fashioning yourself into a faux-angel is prideful, isn't it? Anyways, mine are still like that; it's most comfortable, for me. I can relax it if I want, so I don't think I'm losing the ability to manipulate it.
We're not the only ones who do this, either; the last week of my Senior year of high school, I saw a boy who had done similar. His wings were very small, though, maybe a 4-5ft wingspan all told. Mine are larger, although not realistically sized at all.
And that's pretty much all I have to say. Clearly, not any sort of authority on it; and I know there's a lot of information on auras and seeing auras out there, for those of you who are interested in actual information. Normally I might go get links, but the restrictions here make that difficult.
In other thoughts, our plan for tonight is to stay up all night, to try and reduce jet-lag, and sleep on the plane. I don't think I'll have any problem with that. Dunno if we're actually doing anything today at all, although there was a plan to meet the professor we interviewed at the beginning of the week for lunch.
Also, I currently have about 4 CNY in my wallet. I don't know if it's worth it to withdraw another hundred, having only today left; I'll have another 200 when we leave the hotel (room deposit), so I'll be able to buy snacks etc. at the airport. I think I'll just borrow money and pay it back by buying things for people at the airport.
BTW, I was confused for awhile, but apparently both CNY and RMB are acceptable ways to indicate the Chinese currency (yuans)? RMB is obviously the official way, since it's etched into the side of the coins.
