Internet problems seem to have been solved. I think. Yay!

This morning, I woke up to find Tripper staring at me. This conversation commenced:

Me: Hai Tripper :D
Tripper: :3 *tailwag* *STARE*
Me: Come on up! *pats corner of couch where my feet are*
Tripper: *stares at me as if I've lost my mind*
Me: ...*pats again* come on!
Tripper: *continues to stare*
Me: *leans up a bit to pat more emphatically*
Tripper: *wedges self between my head and the armrest*
Me: D: ...not what I meant!
Tripper: *stares at me with woe as I invade his personal space with my head*









Apparently that is HIS corner of the couch, thankyouverymuch. He stayed there until I decided I did not want to sleep on dogbutt and got up.

Also, got a good photo of Nikka, since her self-warming bed is back so she was quite asleep:



Yeah, that's our DVR box. No, it is not good for it to be slept on by a cat. I say it's back because we had to get it replaced after she decided to go warm up on it after a long night of being outside in the rain...

.......she apparently was not very impressed with it having sparked and smoked at her, since she's sleeping on the new one...

In OTHER news I dreamt (AGAIN) about getting a cat. It's very similar to the last one I had, in that the cat could make an 'oh'-sounding noise, that sounded like it was speaking; and it came into the house an unusual way (the front door that we don't use). It was also an older adult cat. I WANT A CAT THAT DOESN'T HATE ME ;A;

Hi! This is probably going to sound a little weird, but I clicked over here from ontdcreepy a while back and saw that you wanted to get a cat. I was just moving into a new house with a new roommate, and since together we had five cats, I was trying to find a home for one or maybe two of mine. I was going to send you a PM, but then I thought that would be kind of a strange message to get from a stranger, besides not knowing if it would be feasible to get him to wherever you live. And it turned out that my roommate insisted on not breaking up the best cat friends when he saw how much they love each other. Anyway, I came back today and was surprised by this post, because the older of my cats does say "oh-oh-oh" when he meows and sounds like he's talking, which I've never heard another cat do. He'll even stop to let you speak, and then answer you. It's fun to have a conversation with him.

(I also kept the younger cat instead of finding him a home with his litter-mates because of a dream I had before he was born. I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks that kind of thing is important.)

I actually get PMs from strangers rather frequently these days xD and quite enjoy them. Although one offering a cat would probably be the best stranger-PM ever c: I'm also glad to hear you guys were able to keep all the kitties, though!

That does sound very similar to the behavior of the kitty in my dream. I remember at the end I got him to 'talk' to my brother :3 he was a very particular-looking cat as well, with white and brownish-orangeish fur, a bit raggedy-looking and a squashed sort of face x3 possibly partly based on my late cat that I lost two (or three?) years ago, but it was an oddly distinct image for me, since I usually get pretty vague visuals in my dreams.

That sounds like my Harvey, all right. His face isn't as squashed as the Blue Himalayan I used to have, who looked like a cartoon character that got hit in the face with a frying pan, but it's much flatter than my other cats'. Was your dream kitty by any chance a big fat fatty with the vocal range of Minnie Mouse?

Or maybe I should ask, is this your cat?

He does look remarkably similar! I think he would look identical to dream!cat after a significant journey, or being a stray for awhile. Hmm...

He was a stray when I found him. I was delivering Chinese food one night, and he came running up to me and demanded chicken, so I brought him home with me. After he ate all the cat food, we put him in the bathtub, and he was so happy to have a full belly and two people touching him, he didn't complain a bit. (The next bath was a big surprise.)

Would you be interested in having two new cats? (Two, because they really are together every minute of every day, ruling the kitty universe as father and son, and splitting them up would be unbearable.)

Harvey (the orange one) is very friendly and good-natured, but Edsel (the black one) is skittish with people, and we're concerned that he might not be a good cat to have around a small child. I don't want my kitties to go away, but if it does have to happen I want it to be a good place.

I'll have to discuss it with my parents, since I'm currently living with them, but we certainly have the room and such for two more cats. How old are they?

We don't have any small children (nor any that visit often either, much to my relief xD; /not a child person), just Paige's cat Nikka who got along fine with my last cat, and the dog who is quite good around cats, especially now that Nikka's put the fear of God in him :P he creeps around them like they're adorable little bombs.

Edsel was born January, 2010. Harvey was full grown when I found him, a couple of months before that. He doesn't act like an old cat, but he's definitely an adult. They're both neutered but not declawed, and generally healthy.

They should both be okay with other animals. Harvey will sit there with a dopey smile even if he's getting swatted in the face, and never fight back. Although if Nikka is female...well, getting fixed hasn't exactly killed his sex drive. Edsel will probably run away and hide until he gets used to strangers, but he's not aggressive at all. Neither of them has ever met a dog, though.

Wow, part of me is hoping this doesn't work out. I'll miss my kitties so much. But I watched some of your videos of Tripper (who looks like such a sweetie!) and I can see that you're a good pet person. Besides, if you're dreaming about Harv, that's got to mean something.

Oh, that's okay. My roommate appears to have gone from "you can't keep bringing home strays!" to "you can't give away my cat!" Thanks for considering it, anyway.
