So, continuing on the swirl cookie idea that I tried out last weekend, I...made some more this weekend!

So I did a batch of chocolate sugar cookies and a batch of regular sugar cookies, which I split in two and dyed one half pink. Since that sugar cookie recipe makes twice the normal amount of any cookie recipe ever, this made three sections of dough that were about equal in size. So then I cut each one in half and rolled out the halves on top of each other and rolled them up to make the swirls.

Uh. I'll do a photo guide to that some day, maybe. It's just. It's a process that involves my hands being covered in flour lmfao

Anyways so then I put them back in the fridge to chill and take them out and this is the weird mutant things that produces:

So I cut slices out of that to make the cookies, and sprinkled them all with regular sugar before baking.

Now...as for baking...the regular sugar cookie recipe is supposed to bake at 400 for about 6-8 minutes, while the chocolate sugar cookie recipe is 350 for 10-12 minutes. These are actually pretty much the same amount of, um, baking - note one is higher heat, less baking time, and the other is the other way around. Also sugar cookies and chocolate sugar cookies are pretty much the same recipe, just with/without cocoa powder. So I was quite sure they would bake together fine. I went with the 400 degree one because less baking time, lol
