BARK BARK BARK
Mar. 9th, 2011 07:51 pmSo, the snow is melting. It seems as a result faerie activity is picking up again.
Last night the dog asked to go out in the middle of the night. After a few minutes he started barking at the door. I thought this was because he wanted to come in; although he usually only barks to come in if we fail to hear him scratching at the door for like...half an hour. Anyways, I go to let him in, and he looks at me, and runs out into the yard, and starts barking alternately at the woods and at the trees along the length of our backyard (they're big pine trees that separate our yard from the neighbor's).
So basically he's running down to the very corner of the house (which still leaves him about ten feet from the woods) to bark at the woods, then running back along the trees to bark at them. I assume he had been barking to get me to come outside, something he's only done a few times.
I had the back deck light on (it illuminates the whole backyard pretty much) but I couldn't see anything at first; I didn't have my glasses on. Suddenly when he runs to bark at the woods again, I realize he's not barking right at the woods, but instead at the line of small bushes/trees that go up from the woods onto our property. I saw a thing there - I'm really not sure what it was? It was a sort of dirty rag grey color, maybe 4ft high, with no identifiable face or legs. It had a sort of vaguely person shape, by which I mean it was standing 'upright'; it resembled a person about as much as it resembled an oblong rock or a gravestone. It moved, though, and eventually went back behind one of the bushes (and I assume followed them back down into the woods), and I was able to get Tripper inside.
I really don't know what it was; I've never seen a faerie that looked like that - or was that short (although there are plenty of stories that seem to suggest that most of them are very short). What's confusing to me is that it didn't seem to have a face or any limbs. It's probable, though, that I couldn't see it clearly, and missed those things somehow.
And now I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT ARAMIISOME MORE FOREVER
I just, apparently, feel the need to talk some more about my custom projects. HERE ARE THE NAMES OF THE FOLDERS IN MY 'CUSTOM PROJECTS' FOLDER:
AND here's what I have planned for the Royal Fantasies series; these are all females to be paired with Yaotl:
Maldra; prediction one, prediction two
Peregrin; prediction one, prediction two
Pherra; prediction one, prediction two
Poishy; prediction one, prediction two
I tried to branch out into some different colors - specifically, with yellow/orange/red females - but the green and orange just didn't look good. At all. So they're all in the green-blue-purple-red color range, which I like anyway so STFU. >:C
ANYWAYS I had a point. Oh yeah I'm not entirely sure about some designs, specifically the Poishy. IDK. FEEDBACK WELCOME. EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WTF THIS ARAMII CRAP IS.
P.S. Paige and I are currently getting into Buffy. EVERYTHING IS SO 90's. Mostly I enjoy 90's fashion in a sort of 'lol 90's' way but I think if I see another cheap faux-velvet jacket in a caramel sort of color I'm just going to start imagining all the characters as teddy bears.

I just, apparently, feel the need to talk some more about my custom projects. HERE ARE THE NAMES OF THE FOLDERS IN MY 'CUSTOM PROJECTS' FOLDER:
- blizzard reindeer
- blue jays
- flamingo flock
- indigo tazias
- royal fantasies (duh)
- siamese fighting fish (I did these early this morning after not sleeping all night and couldn't remember the word 'betta'...)
- white ligers (omg I am so doing these next)
- whooping cranes
AND here's what I have planned for the Royal Fantasies series; these are all females to be paired with Yaotl:

Date: 2011-03-10 01:24 am (UTC)I adore all the predicts. And I'm not just saying that. I would definitely have the non-coatl pup from EVERY pair there. The pherra especially knocks me over with awesomeness.
I would also probably want coatls from them eventually, though with them being siblings it's harder to make myself spend the money, lol. But especially the coatl predict from the maldra pairing. NOM!
I likes the poishy :-)

Date: 2011-03-10 01:41 am (UTC)And of course I'll give you discounts for all the pups you want darling :D I forgot to mention the other day, if you were going to pay in AMG for the kiribou pup, the price is only 3mil for you.
You don't think the poishy looks too washed out? Although, lol, they always look washed out, I know :P I'm still getting used to how washed-out their base colors look. I love how the swirl looks on their tentacles though :D

Date: 2011-03-10 02:50 am (UTC)Ooooh. Oh yay! DISCOUUUUUNT! Thanks :-) *bounces* That's really appreciated. Especially since I just blew my 45 mil AMG savings on a custom someone was selling (they left so I couldn't get in touch about alternate AP payment) and now have less than a mil. *sigh* Time to uber-save again!
Poishy often looks washed out in a way compared to others because it is semi translucent. I LOVE swirl on poishy! I just got two off Sparkoo, erased their tip and now have a swirl-only pair.
I'll be doing a forum post for all my custom breeders soon... want tme to let you know when it's up? There will be sooooo many discounts! (And more on top of that, for you.) I always discount within the same sets (natural lebeau, single-marking, tabbies, markless etc) so that works well. The only set I don't discount on are the Oceans but if you pay in Ap you do get a free gen 3 of your choice. I think that's the deal anyway lol. Need to double check that.
So yeh anyway. It's all shiny. God I'm glad to be back on Aramii!!

Date: 2011-03-10 02:59 am (UTC)And yes definitely let me know omg. I'll be all over that like white on rice. Although I'm pretty broke myself, lol. I'm thinking of making some adoptables to sell to remedy that.

Date: 2011-03-10 03:14 am (UTC)Tomorrow I plan to sort my camp some more, start working on that forum post and play around with the pherra pair I came up with to see if I want to change them at all. Of course, that would make them three-marking pair which costs a fortune *eyeroll* But we will see what happens.

Date: 2011-03-10 03:51 am (UTC)Three marking tokens are eeeeviiiil, which is why my Oceans were about 6 months between the design and the creation.
One marking is good. Luckily for me I have a real passion for one-markings (they are so useful - if you want to get a new marking into a line without adding any others... they're just wonderful and perfect and so simplistic yet beautiful and argh I likes them) so it's not too hard to find things I would like for a one-marking token.

Date: 2011-03-10 03:56 am (UTC)Unfortunately I always end up with designs that are two or three markings, lol. A lot of the time I'll set out with a concept that I thought would only be one-marking, and it ends up three markings. Like the betta poishy for example. I only intended them to be one marking. They're a two-three marking design in the end. Argghrleg. And the white ligers were only supposed to be one marking as well, and now they're two.

Date: 2011-03-11 12:58 am (UTC)Do you want me to put you on the list for a pherra pup? Same discount as for the kiribou pup of course C:

Date: 2011-03-11 01:24 am (UTC)And once I decide to hatch it, I will have a tibbit... I have the egg. I just haven't hatched it because my Oceans are still big and I want my Ocean chomp showing while I'm advertising them.
But. Tibbit was the one I came up with! I adore tadpoles, I collect them, and I knew they would make an amazing meep. I spoke to Mariko and she agreed, so I asked GellieBeen to do me a concept sketch and she did, and I okayed it, so she sent it to Mariko and withing a couple of days YAY TIBBIT! So that made me really, really happy. Apparently there is another meep coming out soon, too. Apparently there were two more coming out, then that Bo thing (ARGHH) came out so there is another due at some point methinks.
THANKYOOUUUU!
