YES I USED THIS ICON THREE POSTS IN A ROW

U CAN DEAL, halloween is exciting 6 u 9

Anyways I baked some sugar cookies! Using this recipe as always, with the addition of some food coloring to make the cookies orange!

Yup. )

So yeah, that's it for Halloween weekend. A week late, but I did not care, clearly.

Okay I guess this isn't really baking??? This is just chocolate-melting. We used some molds (these ones mostly) and just piped in different colors of candy melts and some milk chocolate. And we didn't do it very well either. But it is tasty stuff so I figured I'd take some pics anyway?!

P.S. I would like to point out that I picked out the plate these are on like, last weekend. Isn't it super cool?! It was cheap and relatively elegant for a plastic Halloween plate I thought. It was dad's idea to set the chocolates all up on it, though.

More under here! )

I'll be baking the cookies sometime soon. Also, got my costume all together to hand out candy tomorrow, and will probably get some pics of that.

SO I WAS SO SUPER BUMMED YOU GUYS BECAUSE THE SNOW RUINED HALLOWEEN

BUT THEN I WAS TEXTING DAD AND THEY FINALLY GOT POWER BACK AT HOME SO I WAS LIKE 'OKAY I AM GOING TO BAKE HALLOWEEN GOODS THIS WEEKEND WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT'

AND THEN DAD INFORMED ME THAT SINCE THE TOWN WAS BASICALLY SHUT DOWN ON MONDAY THEY MOVED TRICK-OR-TREAT TO THIS SATURDAY

not only did I not miss weekend-before-Halloween baking and making a costume for Tripper, I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO MISS TRICK-OR-TREAT

I GET TO TERRIFY KIDS THIS YEAR

YES YES YES

P.S. IS THIS A NOSEBLEED OF EXCITEMENT?

Oh wait, no, it is just a nosebleed of cold air. Fuck you, cold air.

Just a few Halloween-themed icons. Using just free stock images is starting to feel rather limiting.

Halloween?

So usually around this time I would start thinking about my Halloween costume (and then put it off until early October anyways because I prefer to assemble random leftovers from the stores...this has worked well for me, I kind of wish I had photos of some of my past few costumes).

But Halloween this year is on a Monday. I'll be at school.

Last year it was Sunday and I couldn't do it then, either. This is really upsetting for me, Halloween is pretty much my favorite holiday. And next year it'll be on a Wednesday. Since I don't do parties, even Halloween parties, there's no reason for me to make a costume at all.

Last year I helped Paige design hers instead; I might do that again this year, although she's planning, apparently, to go with Nathan, and with how she's been designing her own cosplay stuff recently I think she'll probably want to do this herself.

So instead I was thinking of maybe designing a costume for Tripper. He loves wearing clothes, so I figure as long as the costume is comfortable for him, he'll like it. I'm not sure what to do with him, though...

Oh wait, maybe I could just rip up one of my old shirts a bit (they fit him well, lol) so that it hangs more naturally on him and make him look like a weredog? :D simple yet effective. I know they're plenty loose around the neck, the only problem is that the sleeves fit weird on him and inhibit his movement a bit, so maybe I could roll the sleeves up, or rip/cut them off...

I'll also have some trouble finding a suitable shirt for me to tear apart since I recently donated most of the ones I don't wear. Hmmm. Maybe Dad has a better one, he wears XLs too.

Also, this. )
