Beach Trip!

We brought Tripper to the beach yesterday! Seabrook, which is one of those 'dogs are supposed to stay on a leash, but if they behave nobody will say anything' places, so we had Tripper off-leash only when playing fetch with him, which is when he behaves best. He was even good when some other off-leash dogs came around and were playing fetch into the water as well.

I got a bit of a sunburn, and kind of wish I had been able to bring one of my sun-umbrellas, but as I had designated myself Photographer it would have been difficult to juggle.

I took over 200 photos :o! In only an hour or so! I ended up tossing about 38 of them for being very crappy, and ended up with exactly 200 that went up on facebook. I'm only uploading a small fraction of my favorites here so as not to photospam y'all :P also, coding 200 photos into an entry would be both boring and annoying.

Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Yaaay! Chocolate chip and butterscotch cookies!

I used this recipe, but substituted half a cup of butterscotch chips for the cup of chopped walnuts. They came out pretty tasty :D the butterscotch chips are a bit sweet for my taste, though. I think in the future I'll substitute chopped hazelnuts instead.

I really want an apron. Like one I can use at home while baking, my work one doesn't count, it smells like coffee >:c Aprons seem really simple to sew, so I think that might be my first foray into sewing clothing-type things...but I'll need some new fabrics for it. ;A;

Slut Shaming & Safe Sex

I just wanted to talk briefly about something that I might, for once, actually be qualified to talk about, being just out of high school :P

( Cut for the use of the word 'slut' repeatedly, in the context of discussing slut-shaming )

Of course, this only lends weight to the idea (or rather fact) that a lot of the issues with sex ed in America stem from the slut-shaming aspect of our culture. I wasn't looking to make a longer post on slut-shaming or sex ed or anything today, so this is all you guys get C:
