I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. No, wait, I do.

Okay, see, here's the problem. I love paranormal shows. And there are like, not nearly enough out there.

And I HATE Chip Coffey. Really. It's not just that he's a liar and a fraud and an asshole, it's that I can't even forget these things while I'm watching him because he doesn't even know how to put on a good face for the camera, he's just all THIS IS ALL ABOUT ME AND I KNOW EVERYTHING AND I SENSE DEMONS.

So basically right now I am trying to watch Psychic Kids while ignoring Chip Coffey and it's not working. And I'm not even watching it to fact-gather, which, you know, it takes a pretty untrustworthy show for me to not try to filter some maybe-might-be-true facts out of it. I'm just watching it for entertainment. But ugh Chip. Go away and leave my genre aloooone.

If you've ever watched Paranormal State, he's the guy who comes in as their ~expert~ and starts talking about how he 'feels a negative energy in this room' and then eventually progresses to calling everything DEMONS and EVIL SPIRITS and doing a half-assed exorcism of the building.

One family came forward finally and disclosed that they manufacture most of their evidence, and HIDE real evidence because most of the time it scares Chip shitless and he doesn't want that on TV, lmfao. And he does, in fact, get detailed information on the house and phenomena beforehand, so his ~feelings~ are bullshit. Less hilariously, they also showed a photograph on the show that was not meant to go public (a photo of the car crash a man had died in only about a decade ago...body and all). For shock value.

I can basically talk about how much I hate Chip and Paranormal State like, all day.
