Okay first of all you know that thing that happens sometimes where you get a new album by an artist you like and you're all 'some of these songs I am not sure about' or even 'oh god this one song is terrible'

But you keep listening to the album because the other songs are great, and eventually those songs that you used to not like become like, your favorite songs on the album?

No? IDK maybe this just happens to me because I freak out about change, did you know I would still be using a portable CD player instead of my iPod shuffle nano (gd these ipod names) except they don't sell portable CD players any more, I am serious, I watched the selection at Best Buy dwindle down to two selections and now it's just gone.

Okay anyways my POINT WAS that happens to me all the time, and the only song I didn't like on Imaginareum was Slow, Love, Slow and then I got it stuck in my head in the shower a little bit ago, so I guess it's happening again 6 u 9

ETA: it's snowing

It started just a little bit ago when I let Tripper out. I mean literally, I was watching for him to come in, and it started to snow.

IDEK, I think this weather is just messing with me now. Maybe we will get enough snow to actually make snow pokemon though. But I left my boots at school, oh god, SO MUCH WOE, HOW WILL I DO GRAVEYARD EXPLORING WITH TRIPPER OR PLAY IN THE SNOW WITH NO BOOTS ;n;

Oh look, the new comment pages went into effect. Joy.

I don't understand why something like this, that sacrifices functionality for someone's questionable ideas of aesthetics, can't be optional. Usually I don't care too much what changes they make to LJ, but hiding comment subjects? What the fuck?

Also, with the way comment pages load now, no way will I be able to browse on my phone. Again, no added functionality. This is all just so it 'looks better'.

I have a feeling they're blindly reaching towards the 'facebook' aesthetic in hopes it will make LJ seem more trendy/relevant. If that's the case, I am seriously unimpressed. There are very few good reasons to imitate a more popular service or company, and I can't see any of them being at play here. Facebook isn't even a direct competitor. You might call LJ social media, but facebook is not a blogging platform, nor is anybody using it like one, although the function is potentially there.

I might just be irritated by the fact that facebook is everywhere these days. I don't have a problem with facebook. I have a problem with all the websites that suddenly offer syncing of your account there with your facebook account. How many people actually use that? I've observed very few on LJ. It shows a lack of understanding as to why facebook is so popular and how to increase interest in one's own site. It worries me when the websites I enjoy are clearly in the hands of people who don't know wtf they're doing.

I'm going to stop now, I should probably sleep. Oh, but first:

If ocelotofdoom and I were to take over a terraforming mission and make the planet into a, hmm, Genosha, who would want to come with us? Privilegebutts need not apply, you can take over your own terraforming mission and go make Planet Bigotry and enjoy yourselves over there. Fair warning: I will probably institute communism. Feel free to fight me on it though
