Alright, here are the promised photos of Tripper in the snowstorm from a few days ago. Finally.

(Also, I need new icons.)

So - I had a driving adventure yesterday. A huge snowstorm was sweeping in, and the college shut down at 4 PM. They weren't saying yet whether or not it would be closed today, but I decided to bet on it and skedaddle, because it seemed likely and possibly missing a few classes was preferable to possibly being snowed into my dorm with all the food halls shut down.

I left around 4:30. The snow was already coming down really hard. It was really hard to see, and the highways were covered in snow so you couldn't see the lane dividers, and people were just kind of making up their own lanes sometimes. At one point I realized I was the only one who still believed the middle lane existed, and everybody else had formed two lanes. When I tried to merge into one of the other lanes the guy behind me in that lane got pissed. We were going like 10mph, YOU'RE NOT GETTING THERE ANY FASTER WITH ME NOT IN FRONT OF YOU BUDDY

The traffic didn't get over 20mph until we got into Boston proper. Fastest was going through the tunnel, then the stretch of highway right before my exit. 40mph! YAY!

Oh and btw I bet right. The whole school's closed down today.

But anyways yeah it snowed a ton. The snow out there is up to like mid-thigh on me? So like...3 feet? (P.S. That wasn't all three feet from last night. It didn't snow nearly as much here as it did at school. We got like 6 inches here last night, most of the snow is from last week.) The dog is thrilled, he likes to leap through it like a dolphin 8D I'm thinking of actually going out in the snow and making a fort or something. Or going into the woods? With this much snow I usually just stick to the yard, because...dude I have no reason to wade through all that snow to get anywhere. And I'm wondering if that's why I don't see the faeries when there's this much snow on the ground. I know there's not nearly as much snow in the woods, a lot of it gets caught in the trees, so maybe they stay there where it's easier to walk? Or maybe they just hide somewhere and don't come out altogether...

Dad grabbed icicles from outside my window (we estimated them at about 2.5ft long) and brought them downstairs to harass Derek with them because he wouldn't shovel, LOL. Derek retaliated by getting an icicle from outside HIS window that was maybe 5ft (he's got a window by one of the lowest-sloping corners of the house) but it broke in half while he was trying to get it. The result of the long and terrible icicle wars is: tons of broken icicles in the shower.
