FANTASTIC MENAGERIE DECK

IS HERE

So happy :D did a new deck spread with it. It seems like this one is going to be a little more hard on me than the Medieval Cat deck :C for what it needs from me, gave me reverse page of cups. Not sure if telling me to grow up? I'm trying ;A;

Anyways for what it will teach me got ace of cups, which seems a nice counter to medieval cat's hermit in the same position.

Quick update on medieval cat deck...the readings I get on it are just getting stronger :3 it has started occasionally spitting out cards that summarize the reading I'm going to get as I'm shuffling, which is interesting.

Fantastic Menagerie came with a whole informative book on the artwork and I think some spreads in back so I'll read that today. Going to purify cards before doing any more readings with them. Maybe will make them like me more oAo they seem very...stuffy and disapproving.

Did a few three-card spreads with my deck :D got a few really strong readings, especially on the new deck spread (what will I learn from you/what do you need from me/what will our relationship be like). The other questions were all somewhat silly ones about a crush I have and I got the impression that I was getting unclear readings because I should just go talk to the person if I really want to know these things.

The deck also keeps spitting The Hermit and Temperance at me. And I do know why. Hopefully being out of the house/away from mom will help me de-stress and find balance again.

Anyways I was so nervous that I would just be crap at reading on my own and get nonsense and so on and so forth but that doesn't seem to be what's happening at all :D and it doesn't really feel like I'm doing it alone, it feels almost like having a conversation with somebody, in a way I didn't get when I was doing joint readings on Corey's deck.

Okay, I will spare y'all any more tarot ramblings. Until my Fantastic Menagerie deck arrives, I will probably be too excited about that to keep quiet about it :P

Sorry guys I know I am posting so much today ;A; I don't mean to spam, got all excited about the electricity coming back and then my tarot cards

Anyways current names I am considering:

Cortland, Asher, Corwin

I have decided to stop worrying about sounding 'stereotypical', besides which Corwin may sound similar to my legal name but it isn't actually the male version of it by any means. Actually the male version is the same goddamn name just spelled Corin instead of Corinne. So there.

Still unable to choose but leaning away from 'Cortland' just because I can't pronounce it. LOL. I mean I have trouble with rt and nd sounds so I basically pronounce it as cor'lynn. Feel I should probably be able to pronounce my own name?

IDEK why I do these posts, there's nothing you guys can do to help me be a more decisive person, lol.

Maybe I'll ask my tarot cards. Once they finish purifying. I'm not letting them sit there for 24 hours I like them too much /impatient

It will stay in the window until I get home from work, that's about even sun and moon energy. Then will practice with Paige. In the meantime am looking up some spreads and omg so many awesome ones, have already picked out one of my china engrish notebooks to use as a tarot notebook and will be trying spreads and probably making up my own, I have ideas already

Earthquake

Considering how far it was from us I'm not sure this needs any saying, but we survived the earthquake just fine. We did feel it, though, despite the distance. Or rather, Paige felt it. It made her couch shake. At the time we didn't know it was an earthquake and decided her couch was haunted P:

Tripper spent most of this morning barking very enthusiastically at nothing. He's never done that before. I was half-awake so maybe I just didn't understand what he was barking at, but...idk, it was creepy. He went on for about a half hour so I don't know how it could be that somebody just passed by and spooked him and I didn't see them. I finally got him to settle down next to me so I could go back to sleep. He was nervous last night, too - got up just to walk around outside, not pee. When I was getting ready to sleep I thought I saw something really strange out of one of the windows...but I was tired, so it's not really worth describing unless I see it in a more lucid state.

Anyways, I finally found some tarot decks that I don't feel completely repulsed by. (I am inexplicably picky about tarot deck art considering I've never had my own deck...) Besides the standard Rider-Waite which I don't mind, but it was Corey's deck so I don't think I would feel comfortable using it. I've found that most of the cat-themed decks appeal to me, as well as a few others, so I'll be looking at which ones on my list are good for beginners. I'm leaning towards either the Medieval Cat deck or the Baroque Bohemian Cats deck.
